Husband & Wife Scoop National Qualification

A husband and wife team at Loughborough based bus company, Kinchbus have both been awarded the NVQ Level 2 for the PSV industry.

Debbie and Kevin Cubitt both drive on the skylink route between Derby, Loughborough & Leicester, and started with the company in 2007.  The duo have studied together to complete the course, they both thought it was the ideal opportunity to improve their skills in driving, and give them a better understanding of the job they do every day and also the industry in which they work.

Jamie Cheatle, Operations Manager at Kinchbus said: ‘The NVQ qualification is a great achievement and a real asset for our teams of drivers.  It’s been a pleasure to see both Debbie and Kevin gain this award together.’

The drivers at Kinchbus have been using this qualification to raise the standards of bus travel in and around Loughborough for over 5 years.  One of the main topics covered is customer service which is essential to keep passengers choosing the bus as a preferred mode of transport.
