PLUSBUS Pulls into Loughborough Railway Station

TRAIN passengers arriving in Loughborough no longer have to have change ready for separate bus fares because the age of integrated train and bus ticketing has arrived.

They can now buy a 'Plusbus' ticket for use on Kinchbus Sprint and Skylink bus services when they pay for their train journey.

Sprint is the shuttle bus service that goes to the University of Loughborough and Loughborough College, while Skylink connects Loughborough with East Midlands Airport plus Leicester and Derby.

Cindy Locker, of Kinchbus, said: "Plusbus is very simple for passengers to use.  All they have to do is show their Plusbus ticket to the bus driver.

"We are sure this step forward for train and bus transport will prove especially convenient for people who work at the University of Loughborough and Loughborough College, as well as the town’s business community in general."
