The Sky's the Link for Kegworth Buses
19 January 2009
THE Skylink buses that run between Derby, East Midlands Airport and Loughborough are to serve Kegworth for the first time.
A new seven-day timetable takes effect on Sunday (25 JANUARY), providing the Leicestershire village with an hourly link to the airport, with 13 buses each way.
Well over half a million passengers used Skylink in the last year and it is particularly popular with those people who live near the airport. This figure is set to grow further, with Kegworth – with a journey time to the airport of just ten minutes – added to the route.
Skylink, with its distinctive bright yellow livery, is a 24-hour a
day service run by Kinchbus between Derby and Loughborough. There are
two buses per hour during the main part of the day.
