New Sunday Buses to Serve Loughborough Estates
Local bus company Kinchbus has introduced a new Sunday timetable on a key route serving a number of residential estates around Loughborough.
The firm's Operations Manager, Jamie Cheatle, explained that one of the main reasons for extending the Kinchbus 12 service was feedback from customers who wanted to use the firms easycard seven days a week.
"The easycard, which offers ten single journeys for just £10.50 or £5.25 for children and pensioners, has proved extremely popular and a lot of our customers who travel between Thorpe Acre and the town centre have said they wanted to use the card on a Sunday," he explained.
"Now they will be able to use the card on the new hourly services that provides people in the area with an inexpensive and convenient way to get into the town centre on Sundays."
Jamie went on to say that Sunday has become increasingly popular as a day for shopping and for other leisure activities in the town centre, and the firm was confident the new timetable will prove a huge success.
"This is the third time this year we have expanded or improved the kinchbus network, a reflection of the service’s popularity with the people of Loughborough and surrounding areas" he added.
The new timetable operates from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.
