Sprint Buses Double Up on Sundays
LOUGHBOROUGH’S ‘Sprint’ buses are being doubled in frequency on Sundays.
The six ‘Sprints’, which each have an individual sports-themed livery to reflect the international sporting reputation of the town, replaced the University Shuttle buses last summer.
While most passengers are students and university staff, anyone can catch the buses that go from Loughborough railway station, through the town centre and onwards to the campus.
From the middle of April, there will be a ‘Sprint’ service provided by Kinchbus every 20 minutes instead of every 40 from mid-morning on Sundays.
The 32-seater buses are fitted with CCTV cameras and GPS trackers to work the digital ‘real time’ timetable displays along the route.
