So he spoke to his friends at trentbarton and East Midlands Trains and they came up with some super ideas to make through travel really simple.
Leicester plus - you can connect to/from skylink with any Kinchbus service in Loughborough town for £7.60 with Leicester plus. This will get you there and back on the day the ticket was bought.
Flexi – can be bought on any bus in Leicester and allows travel on any bus within Leicester City for £5.20 a day or £20.00 a week, child £4.20 a day.
Nottingham plus - you can connect to/from Kinchbus 9 and sprint with any Kinchbus service in Loughborough town for £8.00 with Nottingham plus. This will get you there and back on the day the ticket was bought.
red arrow – you can connect onto red arrow to/from skylink from stops within Derby for £6.40 return (only available after 9am Monday to Friday or any time at weekends)
Robin Hood - can be bought on any bus, tram or train in Nottingham and allows unlimited travel within Nottingham City all day. Adult tickets - £5.10, under 19s tickets - £3.10.
zigzag plus - can be used on any trentbarton & Kinchbus journey.
Spectrum - can be used on any Kinchbus journey within the Derby city area. New cards can be purchased from Derby Bus Station information offices, but existing cards can be topped up on bus. To use your Spectrum, simply tap it on the ticket machine. £5.80 within Derby City Centre. Child bline £4.35. Adult bline (7 day) £18, (28 day) £85. Child (7 day) £16, (28 day) £64.
Derbyshire Wayfarer - This day ticket can be used on most buses and trains throughout Derbyshire and can be bought on skylink or any trentbarton bus within Derbyshire . The Derbyshire Wayfarer can also be used on journeys to and from East Midlands Airport.
We’ve also got a great deal if you want to get from Alvaston in Derby and need to get to Nottingham. Just buy a £6.40 all-in return from your skylink driver after 9am- this covers your complete return trip into Nottingham. Change in Derby bus station.
In partnership with East Midlands Trains we have added East Midlands Airport and Loughborough University as stations on the train network. This means you can start or finish your journey from either of these stations and simply show your train ticket to travel on the bus to get to the connecting train station.

You can select Loughborough Uni as a destination or origin from any train station on the rail network and connect onto sprint from Loughborough train station.
