On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 February, one side of London Road in Derby will be closed between Midland Road and Bloomfield Street while Severn Trent Water carry out essential works.
This means that skylink Derby journeys towards East Midlands Airport, Loughborough and Leicester will need to divert.
skylink Derby journeys towards Derby city centre are unaffected.
How skylink Derby will divert (towards East Midlands Airport / Loughborough / Leicester)
skylink Derby will:
- Serve Derby Railway Station as normal then divert via: London Road → Traffic Street → The Cock Pitt → Station Approach → Pride Parkway.
- Rejoining the usual route from Ascot Drive roundabout.
Bus stops we can’t serve in this direction:-
- Midland Road
- Bloomfield Street
- Brunel House
- Railway Technical Centre
- Deadmans Lane
- Ascot Drive
What to expect
As this is a busy part of Derby and traffic will be managed by lane closures, we’re expecting major delays across the weekend.
