This Sunday, we’ll be joining communities across the Kinchbus Universe in marking Remembrance Day.

 

As part of this important occasion, a number of local remembrance events will be taking place, and some road closures may affect our services.

 

Here's everything you need to know to plan ahead:

📍 Loughborough
🕙 10am–12pm
Road closures: Swan Street, Woodgate, Bedford Square.
  • Kinchbus 12 (Thorpe Acre → Shelthorpe)
    🚧 Diverting via Derby Road, Bridge Street, Fennel Street, Lemyngton Street, Barrow Street, Southfields Road.
    🛑 Stops served: Lemyngton Street + temporary stop near Premier Inn (Southfields Road).
  • Kinchbus 12 (Shelthorpe → Thorpe Acre)
    🚧 Diverting via Forest Road, Royland Road, Park Road, Shelthorpe Road, Leicester Road.
    ✅ Resumes normal route at High Street.
  • Sprint (Train Station → University)
    🚧 Unable to serve The Rushes, Swan Street, Ashby Square.
    🛑 Diverting via Bridge Street, Derby Road, Regent Street.
    ✅ Stop served: Regent Place.
  • Sprint (University → Train Station)
    ✅ Full route served as normal.
 
📍 Quorn
🕥 10:30am–11:45am
Road closures: Leicester Road, High Street.
  • Kinchbus 2
    🚧 Diverting via Farley Way in both directions.
    ❌ No service to Leicester Road, High Street, Station Street, Soar Road, Meynell Road, School Lane.
 
📍 Barrow
🕘 9:20am–11:30am
Road closures: Melton Road, High Street, South Street, Bridge Street roundabout.
  • Kinchbus 2
    🚧 Unable to serve Barrow during this time.
    🛣️ Diverting via A6 and Slash Lane, resuming at Hayhill (both directions).
 
📍 Castle Donington
🕙 10am–12pm
Road closures: High Street, Bondgate, Park Lane.
  • skylink Derby
    🚧 Diverting via Donington By-pass, Short Lane, Back Lane, Trent Lane (both directions).
 
📍 Kegworth
🕥 10:15am–12pm
Road closures: High Street, Derby Road, Market Place, Nottingham Road.
  • skylink Derby
    🚧 Diverting via Kegworth By-pass.
    ❌ No service to Kegworth during this time.
 
🕊️ A Moment of Silence
 
At 11am, our drivers will be invited to safely pull over and observe the national 2-minute silence. Customers are warmly welcome to join us in this shared moment of reflection.
 
⚠️ Service Delays
 
Some delays are expected due to these road closures, but we’ll do our best to keep things moving smoothly. Services will return to their normal routes as soon as events conclude.
