We are once again showing our support for the men and women who served their country by adorning poppies on all 40 buses during this year’s appeal by The Royal British Legion.

Legion representative Brian Brown, 84, met with fellow veteran and our lead driver Kev Cubitt to see the poppies decorate our buses. The poppies have been on board from 1 November until after Remembrance Day.

We are also donating £500 to The Royal British Legion’s annual Poppy Appeal and Kev, from Barrow upon Soar, said: “It is so important to remember the people who gave the ultimate sacrifice.”

Kev, who was in the 9th/12th Royal Lancers cavalry regiment for 12 years, said: “The Poppy Appeal is vital to support the veterans who need help. I’m very proud to see the poppies on our buses.”

Brian, who has been involved with the Legion for 40 years, sells poppies at his local supermarket and said: “This year has been very difficult for many charities. It’s very important this Poppy Appeal raises as much money as possible.”

Brian was in the Royal Army Service Corps for nine years before joining the Territorial Army for 17 years and said: “We have to keep the continuity of our support going.

We haven’t stopped the many ways we look after our veterans. It is absolutely wonderful to have the support of Kinchbus which has always backed us so well.”
