On Sunday 4 September, we will be making some changes to Kinchbus 2 route and timetable.
The changes are as follows:
- Route shortened with journeys ending in Sileby and no longer continuing to Leicester. Evening and Sunday services are withdrawn.
Unfortunately, the route has been losing customers for a number of years after being heavily affected by both longstanding roadworks and Covid shutdowns. Over the last few months we’ve been working with the region’s local authorities and other public transport operators to match resources with projected usage, an agreement was reached to maintain the route between Loughborough and Sileby rather than withdraw the service entirely.
Whilst it is a very difficult decision to make these reductions, it will mean that we can deliver the service with greater certainty and reliability.
